Revealed: The new collection A/W 12

I know I promised a "lookbook" but it was a bit too time consuming, considering now I've taken on another massive workload, so here are the photos instead!

eek! *excited face*

Totally excited to reveal the new collection of jewellery that I will be selling on etsy on Monday 17th September around 8pm (UK time).

I wanted my collection to maintain that quirky charm, but keep everything more cohesive, so that I could get into more fairs and markets and boutique shops.

So in effect, all items that aren't keeping with the style I want is now going on sale :), up to 50% off!

In the meantime, check out my textiles jewellery shop- Iffy Jewellery where I'm about to list some items!

Shop Updates

I have been sooooo negligent with my shop, blog, tumblr, and most probably all aspects of my life, all because I'm now working full time. At the moment I feel like work is what my life revolves around because I live quite a distance away from where I work. Although it's only about 9 miles, which in comparison to the 50+ miles I had to go for Uni is pretty local, coming home at night can be very time consuming and because I get so tired I have no energy to do anything right now.

Although I didn't want to do this, I'm going to have to occassionally bring my business to work, like maybe schedule blogs or do some shop updates whenever I have a long break and when I have time during the day before night shifts (I work in a pub ;]).

Anyway- despite my negligence, I have been very busy in the creative cave, working on new jewellery for my shop, whilst remembering that one day a week, I have to take care of myself and dedicate it to actually relaxing. I have made lovely rings, earrings necklaces and brooches. They have been inspired by my top two favorite shops- drop dead clothing and lazy oaf- I love that their products are quirky and cohesive, which is what I am now working on in my shop, so that I can one day get them sold in lovely boutiques or just establish myself via craft fairs. :)

For now, all products will be released on Monday 17th September in the shop!

Much Love Mondays: Home Decor

Now that I'm working, I am intending to move into a new place in the new year. Whilst I doubt that I would get a whole house to myself, it's nice to find some inspiration for my bedroom and maybe other areas too!

Here are a few of my favorite pieces from pintrest:

plastic toys, wood blocks, spray paint

Use cork board squares and cover some with scrapbook paper, magnetic paint, and chalkboard paint

I have a lot of wierd and quirky taste in everything in life, including interior design, but I'm hoping that when I do move into my new home that it would make more sense :).

Much Love Mondays: Hand Over Your Fairy Cakes

I am such a fan of this shop- I spotted Sally's website when she followed me on twitter, and I was instantly in love with all her jewellery. Her pieces are lovingly handmade, quirky and unique, which is what I really like!

Here are a few pieces that I really love and will buy ASAP:

Retro Ice Lolly Necklaces

Lightning Pendants

Robot Necklaces

I really am more of a necklace person than anything else when it comes to jewellery, mostly because I'm allergic to nickel so I tend to stay away from earrings and when I do it's only ever briefly. Necklaces are an effortless fashion piece and makes a proper statement!

Come and check out her lovely shop and snap up some pieces before I do!

Frank's Cafe, Peckham

I visited Frank's Cafe, which is a lovely collaboration of an exhibition, called Bold Tendencies in Peckham with my friend last week, and it was lovely! The place was in a car park next to Peckham Rye and I thought it was a clever idea! I always enjoy going to all these different places that provoke my thinking and such. The cafe itself was on the roof of the car park, which overlooked London, and it looked awesome, although I couldn't afford the food!

It has made me really want to do some exhibitions of my own one day, but I always worry about the stress that comes behind preparing for such things! It's still going on until the end of September, I believe, so if you get the chance, you should visit! :)

DIY Fridays: Ring Display Box

I've been busy lately, but I'm now dedicating more time towards DIY Projects when I'm not busy with the shop!

I made this ring display because there aren't enough blogs out there that show displays, especially for craft shows or market stalls! I made a different one for my day out at Camden, but I made another one for my collection of rings.

Here's what you will need:

- Sellotape
- Double sided tape
- Stanley Knife
- Scissors
- T Shirt fabric
- Chocolate box

1) Eat all the chocolates! YUMMMM <3

2) Remove all inner packaging and tape all the edges of the box.

3) Use your double sided tape and stick it across your box, to stop the fabric sliding around when you slice the ring slots in.

4) wrap your box, with double sided tape, and if you want a stronger hold, you could use duct tape around the edges and back of the fabric.

5) With your stanley knife, carefully slice your slots.

 6) With your scissors, gently push the sides to create an opening for your ring.

This is your box!

Ta-dah!
