Arts and Crafts fair at Vibe Gallery, London

Hello lovely people, I have pictures from the fair from last week!

Thank you to everyone who had visited me and my friends stall, it was so nice to see everyone :).

*these pictures aren't mine, but are from the vibe gallery page on facebook. I recommend that you 'like' this group, it's so fun.

Looking for some last minute decor for my table was CRAZY. Especially because I had little time because of the mad schedule I had for uni! I looked all around Farnham (where I study) and was looking for some bric-a-brac for the table; NO charity shops or craft shops had what I had in mind... then afterwards, I remember that I had wanted to get some cardboard cake stands from Sainsbury's, as I wanted to get them but at the time they were expensive... but these particular ones were £2.50 each- BARGAIN! :)

Here are my robot necklaces that are available on my etsy shop :)

This is my awesome friend Saxon's jewellery table! her jewellery ROCKS. They are so whimsical and hippie like, kinda like the alter ego of my business! I bought a friendship bracelet from her too, I haven't taken it off since ;) We're hoping to sell again together soon, whether it is at Camden or another Craft's fair. It was so cool to just get to know each other properly and hang out more. I'd love for her to get a website soon!

Here's me making friends! I met quite a few people, sooo fun.

I would recommend anyone who want's to get their work/designs out there to get involved, it's a great way to expose your business! :). Through this, I'm contemplating running some workshops! I never ever thought of doing it, but I enjoy helping people and I love ethical fashion, but when the curator suggested it, I haven't stopped thinking of ideas! can't wait to get started.

New Bangles!

I finally have gotten bangles in my shop!I have a variety of colours and all made from cotton, so it is very eco conscious :) I'll be listing some more jewellery tomorrow... but that will be the last time I'll be updating my shop regularly for a few weeks, as I have a ton of work to do that I'm kind of behind on, so please forgive me for being a bad blogger and business woman as of late!

I will be doing a giveaway in a few weeks to celebrate my end of project and education, so it means more goodness for everyone, woo-hoo!

My very first DIY post: Pleated Brooch

I am very excited to be showing off my first DIY post... It's been on my ever-growing to-do list for months now, and I have finally done one! whoop whoop!
What I will be showing you all to do is a pleated brooch. This is such a cute, quirky and whimsical way to transform your every day outfits.

Things you'll need:
felt (or any sturdy fabric)
pieces of fabric that can be cut into strips.
safety pin
sewing machine (or if you dont have one, a needle and thread will do)
sewing pins
crayon/marker
something circular, like sellotape, or any preferred circular object.

I've put all my images onto one flat image, as blogger is acting rather peculiar these days... so if you're not sure, read the instructions below first. :)
  1. get your circular object and place it onto the felt. get your marker and draw around the outside of it to get your brooch shape.
  2. cut out your shape.
  3. cut your fabric into strips and fold them on itself into pleats, securing with a pin as you go along. Make sure that your fabric is coming downwards at first.
  4. sew along the pleated fabric. repeat until you have pleated downwards, and then around the outer and middle of your brooch.
  5. get your safety pin and weave it into the fabric, and then onto your choice of clothing.
cute, isn't it? I had a brainwave just now... you could also attach it to a elastic headband, to create this vintage inspired look, but obviously sew it into the headband, rather than using a pin... that wouldn't be wise!

my shop, as I am pushed for time, is going to be added with goodies tomorrow, I believe. I want to sort out my hair and do my nails, as I love to pamper myself, just a little bit :)

have a great day!

Time to get my craft on...

source

I have been so obsessed with making as much things as possible, that I forgot that I could actually enjoy crafting! I have got a HUGE list of DIY projects that I would like to start... and because this month is quite busy, I will have a lot of time to show off my DIY crafting skills that you could proudly display in your home, OR wear it proudly, knowing that you made it yourself, and is extremely affordable.

I look forward to showing you all how creative I can really be!
