News from the Bend Down Boutique Closet.

Hello all,

I'm trying to write as much interesting and 'genuine' things as possible, so bear with me!

I have some awesome news.

1- I have some new goodies for sale in the shop

2- I have a clearout sale going on in the shop too, 40% DISCOUNT! I am not usually this generous, so please, take advantage. Offer expires 15th April, so dont leave it too long! Just type in '40DISCOUNT' upon checkout.

I was supposed to create a veggie post, but I ate the food before I remembered, so tomorrow, I will be making a cheap and cheerful dish. I hope I remember to do this, as my memory is so bad right now.

And finally- I am in the middle of creating my mini-collection called Nostalgia. This is gonna be released on the 16th April, so I dont have much time to prepare everything. This is the first time I am going to create a PROPER collection where all the outfits correlate together. I was influenced by all my initial designs that I drew when I was 12, when I was so much more passionate about Fashion and Clothing. (someone remind me to frame my first ever sketch) I thought that from this, I could create one awesome collection based on my childhood love for fashion, as it was my first love.

here's a sneak peak of what I'm letting you guys in for:

This is one of my cute (and super cheap) headband. They aren't going to be as big as the one im wearing, but its soooo feminine and I'm sure it would transform your every day outfit.

Anyways, I'm talking too much. I'll be off. Until later my lovelies. xx

Outfit Post 23.03.2011

I love this outfit. I am on a roll to make sure I wear what I make, and this clearly shows how its done!

Cardigan: Charity Shop
Top: Bend Down Boutique
Jeans: Primark

I dont really have a specific dress sense. I really wear clothes according to my mood. I wear white when I'm feeling peaceful, Red/Pink/Blue if I'm feeling really happy and excited, and Black when I'm feeling low. If I could have a name for the way I dress, I'd call it "Quirky Sporty Chic".

I love shopping at Charity Shops too, especially when I dont like spending money, this makes me feel so much better knowing that my money is going to a good cause, and that I'm getting something unique in the process.

Anyway, I must get to tidying my room before I crash out for a whole other long day at uni.

Cya!

My latest purchase; Mozzypop Jewels.

I recently bought a BEAUTIFUL ring from Dayner Lloyd of Mozzypop Jewels. She is so awesome, I instantly fell in love with her stuff as soon as I checked out her website via twitter. I'm trying to be careful not to show the specific ring that I bought as its a gift for a friend, and I dont want her finding out too early.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from her online store:

I cant wait to buy some more stuff from her. I feel like I havent bought enough handmade jewellery from the UK, and I want to change that, I would like to support UK designers as well as International people, because I feel like I really dont know whats on my own doorstep!

Thanks for reading!

An Artist/Designer that I enjoy: The Dainty Squid

I love the Dainty Squid; I feel like her designs are so whimsical and fun. I came across her blog via Violet Bella, and as soon as I saw her pencil cases and pouches on her etsy, I absolutely fell in love :)

A piece that I loved was this Tree Rings and Buttons Pouch.

It is made with Cotton and Lined with Muslin and you can carry all your goodies in!

Check out her website.
