Things I've been up to, via Instagram.

Hello lovelies!

Sorry for my absence, I have been majorly busy trying to stay afloat with what I need to do with Uni- it's a bit difficult at the moment because I'm trying to make everything perfect, as I'm showcasing at the New Designers exhibition this year, and I want people to know that I'm trying to be as much of a professional designer as I can. :)

I hate my weave right now! Totally soldiering on right now (Taken with Instagram at University for the Creative Arts,)

This is my weave. I'm weaving on a Countermarch Loom and I'm kinda hating it right now, I'm not sure which pattern I would like to do, so it's a bit tedious tying on the patterns onto the pedals all day. I'll be much happier on a Dobby Loom.... I'm sure most people who don't weave won't know what any of these things are, but they are great things to use.

Malteser pieces, aka rocky road, ready for the textiles people tomorrow. :) (Taken with instagram)

I made some more Malteser squares; everyone on my course has become so stressed, so I made this for everyone. It's just nice to be nice. <3

I have been busy making ear studs in my studio! I made 49 pairs... so it WILL take a while to get them all on my website!  I hope you will love them ;)

That's it for now!

Oh and one more thing- I'm going on a trip for a few days between 12th-15th March, so if you would like to buy something, now is the time, as I won't be dispatching anything until the 19th.

New Patchwork Purses!

I have created some new purses for the shop! I think they are so much better now, I have taken the time to sew it properly, and think about the colour combinations! :). I have really been using my overlocker, so anyone who gets these are definitely going to get a piece that would last.  They are all ever so cute, so come and get them.

I am currently in the midst of my final project for Uni, so I have been pushed for time in terms of blogging, but I'm going to schedule some posts, including a DIY for friday- it's so easy, and very cheap... stay tuned!

New Jewellery

I have new jewellery pieces in the shop! At last, I have some shop news! These pretties are a lovely way to start the next season with, or finish this one. You can jazz it up or dress it down with any of the clothing I have for sale in my shop and it will make it a lot more whimsical :).

I have a new found love for jewellery making and accessories. It is really therapeutic, and I love the whole design process behind it, where whatever you do, you are making your own stamp on anything you're creating.

It's amazing that my shop is finally taking off a little bit lot more... I never thought this would happen. This would be my 3rd year in running my business, but about 1 year since I decided to take it seriously! I started this as a way of earning extra money because I couldn't get a job, and it's steadily growing into a lovely business.

I am also officially self-employed now, and I'm excited, life with this after uni is going to be well interesting.

Enough of my babble, if you want to snap a few pieces, come and shop!

My week of shenanigans via Instagram.

I made myself some mittens! I was complaining one day that I only had fingerless gloves and that my hands were FREEZING on my bike ride around the neighbourhood. I made this from a DIY, and added a piece from an end of a sleeve of an old top to make sure it stayed on my hand. Odd thing though, I made two pieces of the same hand!

I have been working on my final major project at uni, on fishes.  I'm currently in the experimenting stage. Is it bad that I'm freaking out right now? Totally already planning my life after that and thinking "What am I going to do with myself?" It's kinda throwing me off because I feel like I'm off track with my work, but I'm going back tomorrow with a better mood and hopefully will stay more motivated throughout my project! :).

I made myself some business cards! I decided that I wanted to take my business a lot more seriously lately. I even bought myself an overlocker, which means- a lot more quality clothing that can really last, and I can confidently sell them in my shop! :)

I'm currently re-arranging my studio. As you can see, I collect a lot of junk. But I think it adds character to it! :). Because it's in the attic, and its a bit awkwardly built, so I'm trying to create a space that is welcoming, that I could easily work in, and I don't have to spend a lot of money to make look interesting. Can't wait till I can show you it all properly.

I've been re-arranging my bedroom, to look a lot more bohemian. I kinda like how my style is heading that way, but sometimes I have a habit of trying to fit in the crowd, and it doesn't work for me, so it's time to embrace it. :)

Today, I had nachos! Yum. I love all things cheesy, and this hit the spot. I would live off them if they weren't so calorific!

DIY: Button Heart Canvas

Another very easy DIY to-do, lovelies! I've never really properly celebrated Valentine's Day, but I have an obsession with hearts- I don't know why, but it's just such a cute thing! This would make a great decor for those who are celebrating Valentine's Day on a budget and want some nice pieces, or like me, who are absolutely thrifty and like to create one of a kind pieces with minimal spending or effort! :)

Here is what you need:
- a bunch of buttons
- a small canvas
- pencil/crayon
- glue gun

Step 1) draw a heart in the centre of your canvas really lightly.

Step 2) With your glue gun, squeeze the glue out gradually onto your button. (try not to squeeze too much, the end result would be horrible, not to mention you could burn yourself )

Step 3) Starting from the centre, stick your buttons onto your canvas, then work your way around the outside of your outline.

And here you are! I hope you love it! :)

Have an awesome day!

Outfit Post!

Cardigan- Peacocks
T Shirt- Skyline Fever
Headscarf- Gift
Skirt- Recycled from a dress from Primark
Tights- Primark
Shoes- Gift

I love the t shirt... I was waiting for the right time to wear this, and it was really right on me. I had the worst luck though, I laddered two pairs of my brand new tights in one day! Today was not my day, fashion-wise! I had a bit of a lazy day with my make up and hair, because I knew I wasn't going to be at Uni for long. This is my 2nd outfit post of the week, and I love doing this, it's so fun! :)
