Finally! Some birthday pics!

I'm 23 now! Gorsh, I feel so old, but I feel a lot happier and more confident than I have ever felt in my life; especially because it has been the first time in a few years since I enjoyed my birthday, because since say, I was 20, I've had to endure some emotional and financial hard times, which made me so pessimistic and extremely sad.

Now, however, I have now gotten a lot of things I have ever wanted; to graduate from Uni, to get a job that I love, and still be able to run my business, and I'm on track towards saving up for a deposit for a new place to live in the new year. As I'm writing this, I have a huge smile on my face :).

I didn't do anything special for my birthday- I didn't want the pressure of doing anything extravagant, so I just invited a few friends round, and we played some games and I cooked food! Obviously we were too hungry to think about taking pictures, but I had a lovely time.

Me and my bestie, Jonny

Me and my friend, Shannon, playing Slenderman in the dark- I recommend everyone plays this game, it's intense!

Me and my work colleague have birthdays that are two days apart, so my friend set up this lovely cake on our long shift, which lifted us up :). It was the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me and it tasted so good!

I got a ever-so-cute mug from my best friend! I'm a big cappucino/tea drinker, so I love having cute things to drink out of! I had this tea with some yummy chocolate cake... yummmmm.

Artists I love: Little Miss Delicious

I have been a fan of this cool company for about a year now, especially because the owner, Maxine Ashleigh, has been running her business for the same amount of years as I have, but has a lot more success going her way at the moment, as well as the fact that she was a student when she started making her yummy jewellery.

I truly admire what she does and she is one of many people who inspire me to work harder with my business :).

If you're looking for something to rock this Halloween, look no further; this cool collection has a variety of oh-so-spooky, yummy and cute pieces that you can rock forever, not just for halloween:

I think I'll even snap up a piece now, I want a cool looking piece of jewellery!

Costumes I like this Halloween

I love, love dressing up, it's so fun! I'm already quite a quirky person, so dressing up for me, especially on halloween is great outlet to express myself to the fullest and show everyone how creative I can be! :)

Here are a few things I love:

I'm really in love with nail art, especially this skeleton design by Monster Nails. I wouldn't personally wear yellow on my nails, because I don't think it suits my skin tone, but I love this idea!

I love this make up. I don't usually wear eye make up, because in case you don't know, I have awful eyesight, and rely on my glasses A LOT, haha! I especially like the detail and how much of a cool impact it makes, and I think I would actually sacrifice my glasses to rock this look for a day.

This costume is so cool! This is my most FAVORITE look out of all of them; I want to look like a superhero fashionista, and rescue all the fashion disaster victims ;)

My designs over at society6

Hello lovely people-

Just to let you know, in case you didn't know already, that I'm on society6! It is such a great platform for all the illustrators out there to show off their designs and have someone buy them. I've already had someone buy one of my own designs, so it makes me happy that people are already believing in me, because as many people would know, I chose to specialise in woven textiles at Uni, and it was the biggest mistake I ever made, I always wished I did printed textiles instead, because I love to paint and draw, and with weave, I never got that freedom, so I felt creatively stunted. Never the less, I will get back into drawing again and get more designs up soon- I promise!

In the meantime, here is one of my designs in various forms:

Skull no.1 Art Print

This is my first design. You can buy it as an art print on its own or a framed print, or as a printed canvas.

Skull no.1 Stationery Cards
 Stationery cards

Skull no.1 iPhone Case

Skull no.1 Laptop & iPad Skin

I hope you would have a look at everything and maybe snap up something you'd like? ;)

I heart this Artist: Designosaur

I stumbled upon this lovely company through hand over your fairy cakes, and I absolutely love their designs. It reminds me of the inner child I am occasionally, as well as being lovingly upbeat and fun, which is what I'm aiming for my shop to be.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces:

Toy Gun Necklace 'BANG' designed by Florrie Thomas, Acrylic and Wood Jewellery.

Triceratops Necklace. Laser Cut Acrylic Dinosaur Necklace. Mirrored Perspex and Cherry Wood.

I love all these badboy jewellery, and I will get some of them one day. I love dinosaurs too, as some of you can tell by some of the selections I have in my shop... RAWRRRRR.

Much Love Mondays: Halloween.

I don't normally celebrate Halloween, but I love the idea of dressing up and doing the traditional Halloween things, like decorating my place with Halloween fake spider webs, skulls and bats and watching scary movies in the dark and eating lots of sweets and popcorn, and carving the pumpkins! YUM-MY!

Here are a few pieces/displays I like:

I'm not going to lie, the thought of Halloween in a way is exciting! I wish I wasn't too old to dress up and go trick or treating as I've never done that before... clearly my childhood wasn't normal!

New start, new blog!

Guess who's back!?

I said that I had lost my passion and felt like I couldn't blog anymore a month ago, but I felt lost without it; blogging has actually become a part of my life, and even though I am busy, I have become more organised, by writing lots and lots of lists for blog posts per day, week and month, and scheduling them for the week, so that I can enjoy life and feel less guilty, because I know there are some loyal readers out there. I also decided to move my blog platform from Clashes but Matches, just because I wanted the link between my shop and the blog, instead of creating two separate identities.

Anyway- here's a couple of things I have been up to via Instagram:

I have made some business cards, through vistaprint- and for the first time ever, I'm quite pleased with this pack- it was better quality than the ones I'm used to, and it shows off my new necklaces that I made!

I bought some new earrings from hand over your fairy cakes. They are lovely, and I much loved the kinder that came with it- I kinda demolished that really quickly! Be sure to check out the website!
