Its all about the love.

"I love myself. Three simple words, that unfortunately in today’s world are seldom heard. We are always trying to fix those little problems that we think are wrong with us rather than embracing what the universe has blessed us with. You should love yourself whether you are tall or short, or thick or thin… remember that you are beautiful" -Victoria of Garden of Eden Designs.

In aid of "spread your love" week, I am writing about the one thing that I love, which is my body.

Its my newly found love, mind you! I have always had body issues for most of my life; I had been 'overweight' as a child when I was 10 and I also developed early in terms of my breasts growing a lot earlier than everyone else. I didnt understand why my body was changing and the kids in my class were so cruel, even got teased by my teacher- that's the extent of my weight.

I had since lost a lot of weight, but my confidence had gone too, I was always wanting to be skinny, I envied all those girls who were stick thin and they were the type of people who seemed to be popular at high school. I had been on diets since primary school, so I guess I had a habit of not being happy till I lost weight, and when I did, it didnt last long.

Now- I CANNOT be asked to even attempt to lose weight. I should be happy with what I've got. I love my big hips, and my 'average' looking boobs and my 'not so flat' stomach. I love it so much, that I have actually gotten the confidence to wear dresses and other girly outfits that show off my figure more regularly, and a lot less hiding behind the baggy tees.

Now, I ask you to join in on our project. We are declaring the week of June 1st through June 8th Spread [your] Love week, and we want to know why you love yourself. So take a photo of yourself with a sign and let us know why in a post. Help spread [your] love and promote positive body image for all our girls out there. And once your post is up, go link up with Victoria here. Your self-love post will remain there for the rest of the year to encourage others to love their-selves as well.
